The Action Cancer Big Bus is coming to Drumaness GAC on Sat 21 April. This is a state of the art Regional Mobile Cancer Unit for early detection, prevention and support service for people with cancer. There are 200 different types of cancer which affect men and women, 2/3 of all cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes. Services provided on the BIG BUS include digital breast screening, health promotion and MOT health checks for men and women in addition to providing access to support information assisting people affected by a cancer diagnosis.

There are 3 types of appointments available;

· 24 x Digital Mammograms (20 mins each)

· 12 x Health Checks (20 mins each)

· 12 x Body Composition Analysis (15 mins each)

Through a club fundraising night last autumn money was raised to cover the cost of the BIG BUS and we would encourage as many people as possible to avail of this opportunity and make an appointment but please note that all appointments must be received 3 working days (by 17 April) in advance of the BIG BUS visit and if there is limited or no appointments received Action Cancer reserve the right not to deploy staff for a particular service.
